Abstract
The base of operating magnetic-valve controllable reactor (MCR) is the power electronics device which can create steady pulses. In this paper, a model of MCR is introduced and a novel control device for the MCR is proposed, this device uses a special circuit to get a synchro signal from line-to-line voltage first, and then divided into six controllable trigger pulses precisely, the method can be implemented by FPGA and the requirement of high performance can be met. The hardware design of the system shows that the new device has quick response, good precision, well ability of anti electromagnetic disturbance and can be used to operate the MCR stably for a long time.
