Abstract :
This paper presents a novel detecting system being used in an urban traffic control system. The detecting system can detect not only traffic flow of vehicles but also traffic flow of bicycles by using pattern recognition and classification. The structure of the detecting system with recognition and classification model is given in this paper. Some of the key problems of this project are briefly discussed, and the testing results of the detecting system are also given
