Abstract :
A new procedure to design two-degrees-of freedom controllers is presented. This procedure can be used to independently attain feedback and tracking requirements without the limitations of having to choose a priori a tracking model or a particular two-degrees-of freedom controller structure. The feedback properties are attained using an H∞ optimization method. The main contribution is the design for tracking properties where an H∞ or H2 optimization method is used. The latter case results in a systematic approach for combined H∞/H2 optimization.
