Abstract :
The rechargeable power industry, through various trade associations in the United States, Europe and Japan, is implementing industry driven recycling programs for nickel cadmium batteries. These programs are designed to be cost effective and efficient. The industry is working with the governments in these areas to mutually develop comprehensive programs to dramatically increase recycling rates for these batteries
