Abstract :
Wavelength filters with large channel numbers and narrow channel spacings are quite important in dense WDM systems. Another important application of the filter is spectrum slicing of supercontinuum light to make a multiwavelength source for WDM. This paper reviews the current performance and future prospects of arrayed-waveguide grating filters.
