Abstract :
Frequency offset can deteriorate the performance of wireless communication systems seriously. In this paper, the effect of frequency offset caused by the error of local oscillator or the time variation of the channel is studied for cyclic prefix-code division multiple access (CP-CDMA), cyclic prefix-comb spectrum-CDMA (CP-CS-CDMA) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems. Close-form expressions of carrier-to-interference ratio (CIR) are given for fixed frequency offset and verified by simulation. The performance is also compared in the scenario with Doppler frequency offset in time-varying multi-path channels and with difference equalization schemes.
