  • Abstract
In this paper, a semi-distributed dynamic resource allocation scheme is developed for the downlink of multi-cell systems with full spectral reuse. Firstly, each base station (BS) schedules one user from all the users in its own cell based on maximal SINR criterion, and then reports the channel and interference information of its scheduled user to a central resource manager (CRM). Finally, the CRM allocates transmit power for each BS utilizing heuristic greedy power allocation algorithm according to the reported information. Simulation results demonstrate that our proposed scheme suppresses inter-cell interference effectively by making full use of the cooperation of multiple cells, and thus yields better throughput performance and reduces the average transmit power significantly compared with the existing scheduling and allocation methods.
