Abstract :
In recent years, Demand-Side Management (DSM) has been introduced. Because of its potential benefits at economic levels, it is considered as an impressive option. Under deregulation, the DSM programs were expanded to include Demand Response Programs. The linear load economic model is considered for demand response programs (DRPs). To do an economic analysis of DRPs, Demand Response based Unit Commitment problem is solved. Gbest Artificial Bee Colony algorithm (GABC) is used to solve the Unit Commitment Problem. The conventional 10-unit test system is used to evaluate effectiveness of the DRUC model.
