Abstract
This paper presents a fuel balancing method for reconfiguration maneuvers of satellite formation flying based upon the circular Hill´s problem. With the previous general analytic solution to optimal reconfiguration of satellite formation flying, an optimal starting phase angle for a formation reconfiguration maneuver is analytically calculated to keep fuel balance between deputy satellites. Using this optimal starting phase angle, we can estimate the period of maneuver for reconfiguration that yields fuel balancing.
