On the Public Participation in Environmental Management in China

Public participation in the environmental protection has been increasingly valued. This thesis firstly makes a brief literature review. Then, from the perspective of the investigation result of automobile industry chain and Chinese corporate social responsibility in 2006, it discusses the significance, present status and limitation of Chinese public participation in environmental protection. As for the characteristic of Chinese public “attention without participation”, the trinity of the Rational Ecological Man is put forward as the solution finally.
