Abstract :
Powering the latest microprocessor systems requiring supply voltages of 2 V or less and step loads in excess of 50 A has provided a challenge to the power supply system designer. Redundant, current sharing synchronous buck regulators are an attractive solution to meet the constraints of cost, efficiency and reliability. This paper describes a simple approach based on droop sharing and the V2 control method
