Abstract
Direction characteristics of short-pulse antennas are considered, using Fourier transform. Radiation patterns and directivity factor (DF) of short-pulse antennas with uniform amplitude distribution are presented for diverse aperture antennas (linear, planar and array antennas) and the most widely used pulses (rectangular, Gaussian, bipolar and sine). The directivity factor of such antennas is shown as a function of the pulse shape and relative aperture dimension.
