Abstract :
By exploiting the inherent birefringence and strong third-order susceptibility of AlGaAs waveguides, we demonstrated several all-optical polarization-insensitive nonlinear-optical signal processing operations. Additionally, undesirable two-photon absorption was minimized via band gap engineering.
