Abstract :
Radiation has been used in many industrial processes for decades. These irradiation technologies require specific dosimeter systems for process control. In this research project, Rhizophora Apiculata dye solutions have been characterized as a function of day exposure to sunlight by measuring the FTIR spectra using Shimadzu FT-IR 360 instrument. From the FTIR spectra results, it was found that the intensity of the C=O, C-H and C-OH stretching vibration decreased with the increased of day exposure for up to 30 days. Based on the analysis, Rhizophora Apiculata dye solutions can be used as UV sensitive dosimeter.
