Abstract :
Due to the spinning effect of spinning vehicles, conventional GNSS receivers may not track the input signal. This paper proposes a tracking loop design method for the GNSS receiver of spinning vehicles. The roll rate is tracked by roll rate demodulation loop which is composed of a roll rate discriminator, a loop filter, and a numerical controlled oscillator. By adding this loop into the conventional tracking loop of the GNSS receiver, the effect of the rotation on the GNSS signal can be easily eliminated. The proposed method was verified through computer simulations.
