Abstract :
This paper considers the general model reduction problem for a positive real system under the constraint that the reduced model is also positive real. The authors present solutions based on the balanced stochastic truncation, balancing linear matrix inequalities and approximating the spectral factors with associated H norm error bounds. An example is given to illustrate the performance of these methods.
