Abstract :
In a virtual environment (VE), a maintenance process scheme can simulate the real world maintenance process. With this idea, path planning becomes more important as a factor that affects the overall efficiency of the system. This situation requires that the planner consider path planning, under such constraints as obstacles, the part distance from the initial position to its final position, etc. This paper proposes an optimal assembly path planning algorithm for aircraft part maintenance. The algorithm also involves a genetic algorithm (GA) to generate optimal sequence of parts for assembly and disassembly (A/D) process.
