Abstract
In this paper, we present the design and analysis of two novel bio-inspired network topologies for use in highly scalable networks. The topologies are inspired by cobweb structures found in nature and scales better in terms of cost and delay as compared to mesh and torus. Latency and throughput of the proposed topologies are compared with those of a mesh and torus networks. The cobweb topology has been extended to 3-D for demonstrating the feasibility for area constrained designs.
