Abstract :
In this paper the results of theoretical and experimental research of a microstrip phased array for the range 28-30 GHz, with phase shifters, implemented on the basis of ferroelectric films, are given. Two designs of millimeter-wave phased array antennas based on ferroelectric phase shifters are described. The first version has 16 elements and four phase shifters with narrow sector of scanning (/spl plusmn/20 degree from normal direction). The second version is a one-dimensional scanning antenna for an LMDS system with a gain of about 22 dB. The pattern has a special form in the E-plane and pencil form in the plane of scanning.
