Abstract :
Numerical research of directional and polarization properties of multiple conical spiral antennas is carried out in the present work. Here, antenna radiation operation areas are obtained with dependence on the radiator geometry, and potential possibilities of forming the required radiation characteristics are estimated. In the literature, the analysis of radiation characteristics is given for the single-mode approximation. On the one hand it limits the range of geometry variation, but on the other hand it allows research into the operation area of antenna axial radiation. Therefore, to calculate the antenna radiation field, we used the vector-potential method that allowed the analysis of the radiation characteristics of the antenna with a given geometry. The antenna geometrical parameters to be optimized are the initial radius of spiral active area; the number of turns; the spiral pitch and the angle. According to the presented analysis of electromagnetic properties of the equipitch conical spiral antenna, we can choose the antenna geometry and estimate its influence on the directional and polarization properties.
