    Summary form only given. NASA missions for the 21st century require increased degree of autonomy and Intelligent Systems will play a key role in enabling these missions. Miniaturization, and revolutionary electronic devices and sensors that deliver high performance in harsh and limited-resource environments are critical elements in the enabling technology. NASA programs to develop these capabilities-Intelligent Systems, High Performance Computing, Information Power Grid-will be described. Computational modeling will play an important role in the design and discovery of revolutionary devices and sensors and the expectations will be outlined.
