Abstract :
This paper describes a fast 3-D reconstruction technique using two cameras. The existent 3-D reconstruction techniques using two or more cameras take a lot of processing time. Generally a look-up table is well-known to reduce the processing time of the 3-D reconstruction. However, it is not possible to apply the technique to the 3-D reconstruction employing mobile cameras. Moreover, most of 3-D reconstruction processing is composed of matrix operations resulting in heavy computational load. We propose a fast 3-D reconstruction technique simplifying existent 3-D reconstruction technique using epipolar geometry and a camera rotation matrix. The OpenCV is also employed for fast matrix computation. Performance of the proposed technique is shown by fast 3-D reconstruction of a ladder.
