Abstract
The Paper deals with the length of gradually expanding hydraulic jump. Based on a description of the main features of hydraulic jumps in expanding channels, and considering the influence on the jump by widening angle, combined with the continuity equation, a new method to calculate the expanding hydraulic jump length is got. At the same time, based on moment equation and empirical formula of non-expanding jump, the formula´s usage is expounded.
