Abstract :
With the development of spatial information industry, traditional systems that are limited by scalability and reliability cannot well satisfy the huge amount of service need. The cloud computing has advantages of good scalability, high reliability and high availability, which can provide powerful technical support to promote the capability of spatial information service system. This paper proposed a new spatial analysis service system based on cloud computing. The design of the system followed the principle of application as a service. In the implementation of the prototype, we make full use of the distributed file system, distributed database and Map/Reduce programming paradigm to support massive data management and parallel processing. Finally we take the example of NPP computing service using massive data to illustrate that the system could process spatial analysis effectively.
