Abstract
Based on the statistics data of cargo throughput and GDP of Nanjing from 1978 to 2009, this paper analyzes the relationship between river port logistics and urban economic growth by employing co-integration theory and Granger causality test. The empirical result denotes that there exists a long-term equilibrium relationship and unilateral Granger causality relationship between river port logistics and urban economic growth. Urban economic growth has positive effect on river port logistics, whereas river port logistics has no significant effect on urban economic growth.
