Abstract :
Tracing flow of power is used to find the network usage by each participant so as to allocate the transmission charges and losses. Existing tracking methods use proportional sharing rule to get solution. But predicted network usage by distant loads is much higher than the postage stamp method or pro-rata allocation. So an optimal real power tracing method was derived using multi-commodity network flow problems. It is required to add fictitious nodes to solve reactive power tracing. In this paper reactive power tracing with out adding fictitious nodes in optimized frame work is used to allocate losses.
