Abstract :
Grounding systems for residences, although easy to perform, should take into account characteristics of the soil upon its design, which is the case of the resistivity parameter. This article presents a study of the surface of the soil resistivity present in the urban area of Manaus, using the Wenner method. To obtain the necessary data to calculate the mentioned parameter we used a digital earth tester, 04 copper-coated electrodes, connecting cables, measuring tape to measure the spacing and the Tecat Plus software. Based on the proposed findings were kind of grounding system configurations to meet the residential class at the points where the resistivity of the soil were obtained.
