Abstract :
Today more than 80% of the Iran´s revenue comes from the oil exported to the other countries in the world. It´s quite apparent that oil is considered as a source that one day will be gone. Oil is unable to bring a bright future as a foundation of the economy. The purpose of this study is to bring in light the current situation of Iran from the exceptional tourism opportunities point of view, and the reasons of not being successful in attracting tourists. This paper addressed the issue by using the analytical and descriptive method. The results indicate that the main reasons for the tourism industry not being successful and not being able to attract tourists is the lack of management in organizing and operation of the permanent resource.
