Abstract
Ball and Beam system controlling is enduringly popular within the domain of control engineers. Various schemes have been proposed for the controlling of this nonlinear system. This paper presents a novel technique of the identification as well as the controlling of this system. The identification is carried out by employing fuzzy Hammerstein model of the system and the controlling is carried out using generalized predictive control algorithm. Matlab simulation results are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of proposed control methodology.
