Abstract :
Very large physical area of the world is not connected with grid system. 30% of the world population has no grid connection and therefore, the need has arising to develop non-grid connected wind power system in other words called stand alone systems. Non-grid-connected wind power systems will necessitate storage of electricity without which it cannot operate well. There is a direct need to develop high capacity electrical energy storage system at cheap cost. Non-grid-connected wind power systems will be wide-spread and can meet the demand of the deprived world.
