  • Abstract
Civil engineering construction has developed rapidly in China, which has great impact on the natural resources and environments, It will play an extremely important role on the sustainable development of human beings, if we keep to the principle of sustainable development in the field of civil engineering. This paper analysis the relationship between the civil engineering and sustainable development, blend the sustainable development ideas into the civil engineering education, and foster the sense of the responsibility of the students and the active consciousness to achieve the target of the sustainable development. This paper can also prompt the students to be aware to bring up the sustainable development target and achieve it in the future career. Therefore, the education is an approach to achieve the sustainable development of the civil engineering, which means the least input, the best result and the most effective.
