Abstract :
In this paper, we discuss a filter bank based structure, the bandpass LDI (lossless digital integrator) filter, for spectral domain analysis of analogue to digital converters (ADC). The digital filter bank is used to decompose the signal from the output of ADC into its main spectral components. Numerical simulations of their power spectral density are conducted to validate our idea and the simulation results show that the extracted spectral parameters (SINAD, SNR, THD) with the proposed scheme is close to those calculated with FFT. This structure is a promising built-in-self-test (BIST) approach for ADC and mixed-signal ICs.
