Abstract :
The numerical simulation process for synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging of rogue wave has been evaluated in part one. Based on the analysis of the perturbation intensity of normalized radar cross section (NRCS) for simulated images, a rogue wave detection algorithm is proposed in this part two. The emphasis is placed on the construction of a criterion function by which rogue wave pixels can be marked. Based on numerical experiments, it is found that the area consists of adjacent pixels whose backscattering intensity perturbation lager than 2.2 times the mean value of the whole image´s perturbation can be considered as a rogue wave area. This study contributes to the experimental operational use of SAR-based rogue wave detection.
