Abstract :
In this paper, the first experimental results for a multi-projection differential coil Magnetic Induction Tomography system are presented. All current systems are static, allowing only the acquisition of a small number of fixed projections. The presented setup provides a much higher density of projection measurements which reduces the ill-posedness of the inverse problem. This is further enhanced through the use of a topview camera to detect the external frontiers of the object. The experimental setup is based on a previously presented design and consists of a geometrically centered excitation and four pairs of anti-series differential coils equally spaced at 45°. Simulation and experimental results for 3D phantom structures are shown.
