Abstract :
Today, research areas related to color vision have become very important. By improving the quality of color perception, the color capturing capability of humans can be augmented. This may mean the extension of color gamut perception of people having good color vision facilities via electronic devices and also the support of color deficient people. In this paper, an artificial lighting method is proposed which is based on the modification of the spectral power distribution of the illumination aiming to match the sensed color spectra with the (individual or general) human color perception process. The introduced solution can contribute to the optimization of the color differentiation capability and that of the perceptible color gamut in order to ensure maximum distance uniform distribution of perceptible colors in the color space transmitted to the brain.
