Abstract :
Road transportation is the prop and guarantee for regional economy. It has important realistic meanings to research the relationship between road transportation and regional economy. This paper tests the empirical analysis between GDP and mileages of transport routes of Shandong Province by co-integration test, error correction model and the Granger causality test. The results show that mileages of transport routes and GDP have the long-term association entire relations. Short-term fluctuations in mileages of transport routes short-term have significant positive impact on GDP. Regional economy growth is the main factor of influencing the road transportation. The impact of road transportation on the economy growth is not remarkable.
