Abstract
The minimal controller synthesis (MCS) is an extension of hyperstable model reference adaptive control (MRAC) algorithm. The aim of MCS is to achieve excellent closed-loop control despite the presence of system parameter variations, external disturbances, dynamic coupling within the system and system nonlinearities. The MCS was successfully applied to the problem of decentralized adaptive schemes. A modification on the decentralized MCS algorithm is proposed in this paper, to highly enhance the stability and robustness of the decentralized adaptive control systems. The proposed algorithm is applied successfully for controlling the attitude of a flexible satellite.
