Abstract :
Multipole permanent magnet synchronous motor (MPMSM) designed for gearless oilfield mud pump (GSOMP) are different from conventional PMSM in aspects of determining main dimension, structure of stator lamination, air-gap length and rotor slot dimension. An optimal design strategy and characteristics of a 600 kW MPMSM for GSOMP is presented and implemented. The structures of stator lamination, rotor lamination and stator winding were analyzed. And how air-gap length influences the performance of the motor was presented. Moreover, how to choose rotor slot dimension was discussed. Intelligent genetic arithmetic was adopted to compile optimized design programme with MATLAB and the programme was used to design the prototype. And, the computer simulation results of magnetic field of the motor are shown by Ansoft according to its model. The experiment results show efficiency achieves 95% ,power factor achieves 0.94, the overload multiple exceed 2.8. The structure and design method of this motor can be used on common MPMSM.
