Abstract
In-situ stress is a natural stress existing in earth crust and isn´t disturbed yet by mining, which is the fundamental force to cause deformation and failure in mining and other underground works. To study the stability of surrounding rock in the 8th mine of Pingmei group, overcoring technique with complete temperature compensation technique and improved hollow inclusion strain devices were used in the measurement. 3D geostresses, including values and directions, at 5 points in deep position are determined. Based on the measuring results, quantitative and comprehensive analysis and study of distribution law of the in-situ stress field and its model in the mine area is completed.
