Abstract :
The microorganism (strain F10) with 63.2% denitrifying intensity was isolated from river sediment. By checking the individual morphology, colony culture characteristics, DNA sequencing and 16S rDNA gene bank, F10 was identified as Alcaligenes faecalis. The strain is expected to be of a source organism for in situ bioremediation or bioaugmentation.
