Abstract :
The propagation of plane homogeneous and inhomogeneous waves in artificial metamaterials taking into account their anisotropy is investigated. It is shown that the experimentally discovered EM-wave transmission through an over-critical waveguide loaded with split-ring-resonators is caused by anisotropy of artificial negative permeability medium created by such resonators.
