Abstract :
In the paper, the author makes research on the service-oriented metadata system of urban transportation fundamental geographic information in order to meet the requirements of the international users better. The whole structure contains three layers which are portal applied layer, essential service layer, and fundamental data layer. Adopting the role-based access control mode and developing it in the .NET platform, so the system will provide with the service function of geographical information metadata.
