Abstract :
This paper introduces one kind of new type of hydraulic brake system which is fit for downward belt conveyor-it is the hydraulic speed soft brake. This brake realizes the constant deceleration of downward belt conveyor in the braking process through real-time detecting the deceleration, with functions such as the overspeed brake, the running brake, the power cut emergency brake and so on. All these features helps the downward belt conveyor both runs steadily, and can decelerate to stop steadily. Thus this brake achieves the intention of the soft brake and receives good effect. Basing on the introducing system´s composition and principle, mathematical model of this system has been established. Because the coal amount transported on the belt conveyor has the characteristics such as randomness, nonlinearity, changes with time and so on, the Fuzzy-PID controller has been designed, then the paper has researched the simulation of this system using the Matlab/Simulink. The result of simulation indicates that hydraulic speed soft brake using the Fuzzy-PID controlling policy basing on deceleration feedback, can real-timely adjust the braking torque according to the load and realizes the true constant decelerating braking.
