            Abstract : 
Presented in this paper is the analytical dependence of H/sub 10/ wave impedance on parameters b/a and a//spl lambda/ for the waveguide with cross-section a/spl times/b. For the given value a//spl lambda/, the function Zg(b/a) can be approximated by function A(b/a)Zc/sub 10/(b/a), where constant A possesses values from 0,5 up to 2 over the waveguide operation range (0,55/spl les/a//spl lambda//spl les/1), Z/sub c10/ is the natural impedance of H/sub 10/ wave. Measured values of the wave impedance differ from the calculated ones no more than by /spl ap/5%.
