Abstract :
In order to utilize the both slag and heat energy of the smelting steel slag, the experiments of extracting iron from steel slag were conducted by smelting reduction method, and investigating the effect of temperature and holding time on iron recovery ration. Results show key reduction reaction is (FeO) +C=[Fe]+CO. And maximum reduction ration reaches on 94.82% under optimum temperature 1550°C and holding heat time 15 min. At the same time obtaining the reduction reaction is first order reaction and the reaction rate equation is ν = 0.049CRe sducedslagFeO1.289.
