Abstract :
Borehole tomography is used to obtain an image of the rock strata between two boreholes. A low-power, compact, wide-bandwidth, coherent system is currently under development at the University of Cape Town. The system uses direct digital synthesis technology (DDS). This paper explores borehole tomography, as well as providing an overview of the system used to extract the requirements
