Abstract :
In this letter, a full-wave analysis of leaky-wave antennas based on polygonal cross-section open waveguides is presented. The analysis is very effective being based on the reconstruction of the behavior of the electromagnetic field at the edges. Only few expansion functions are needed in a Galerkin scheme to achieve accurate results, and the computation time is kept low thanks to an analytical acceleration technique.
