Abstract :
A hollow beam klystron with a space-charge-limited cathode capable of producing RF output power of 600 kW at 425 MHz is developed in this study as the primary RF source for commercial proton linacs. KLSC code is used to simulate the operating parameters of the hollow beam klystron and compared with that of the solid beam klystron.
