Abstract
This paper describes the navigation system of IXV (Intermediate eXperimental Vehicle), an atmospheric reentry demonstrator, which is based on an Inertial Measurement Unit updated by GPS and by DDA (Drag Derived Altimeter) during the electromagnetic blackout. Two types of mission are considered successively: direct and skip reentry.
