Abstract :
This paper proposes a frequency synchronization algorithm for time domain synchronous orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (TDS-OFDM) system with multiple antenna transmit diversity. The training sequences used in the transmit diversity TDS-OFDM system are orthogonal and have near-optimal autocorrelation property, and the carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation algorithm is based on these properties. From computer simulations, the proposed frequency synchronization method performs better when increasing the number of the transmit antenna in AWGN environment, and the estimated CFO can make the carrier-to-interference ratio be greater than 20 dB even over time-varying multipath channels with SNR=10 dB.
